Laura Groves is an artist and producer born in Bradford and based in South London. As a multi-disciplinary artist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Laura Groves explores themes of inner-worlds, connection, pattern, memory, healing and environments, mixing songwriting and experimental synthesised sound, textural electronic layering and a passion for home recording.

Following on from her work as Blue Roses on XL Recordings, Laura has released two EPs under her own name on DEEK Recordings; ‘Thinking About Thinking’ (2013) and ‘Committed Language’ (2015), followed by ‘A Private Road’ (2020), ‘Radio Red’ (2023) and Yes (2025), released on Bella Union. Alongside and intertwined with her solo work, she has followed a thread of collaboration alongside artists including Actress, Richard Russell’s Everything is Recorded project, Sampha, Joviale, Fabiana Palladino, Samantha Morton and Darkstar.

As well as composing live soundtrack for film and a career as an in-demand live musician, she has created and curated Desire Paths – an evolving creative project encompassing live music gatherings focusing on improvised music, a long-running NTS Radio show and photography, video work and writing and artwork publications. https://lauragroves.bandcamp.com/album/yes

+ Hilang Child: Hilang Child is the moniker of Welsh-Indonesian singer, songwriter and drummer Ed Riman. Blending anthemic pop hooks sitting above richly textured, multi-layered songs, in his live shows he delivers soaring vocals from behind the drums, often backed by a saxophonist and other instrumentalists.

His new album Gratitude Journal, released in autumn 2025, follows on from his ‘5, 6, Sidekick’ EP, which featured on BBC 6 Music’s New Music Fix and the BBC Radio Wales Welsh A-List. Tracks from the EP also saw him appear on Fresh On The Net’s Fresh Faves, perform live on the Tedx Outrage and Optimism podcast, and named in The Face Magazine’s 9 East and South East Asian Musicians Worth Checking Out Now.

Outside of Hilang Child, Ed is also the drummer for math-pop outfit Orchards and the left-field rock collective Wet Market alongside Matt Tong (ex-Bloc Party, Algiers), Jojo Khor (Ghum) and Helen Ganya. He has also composed soundtracks for a number of short films – most recently “Ikouah”, an official selection at the New Vision For Earth Film Festival at COP29.
