Burglar | Brighton

Burglar is an alternative rock band based in Dublin, Ireland. Willow and Eduardo formed Burglar after meeting in college in 2021 and bonding over their love of alternative acts such as Stereolab and Smashing Pumpkins. Their backgrounds couldn’t be more different; Eduardo grew up around the punk rock scene in his hometown of Goiânia, Brazil, while Willow comes from the indie-pop scene in Dublin. However, their blend of inspirations has given Burglar a unique and addictive sound. Willow’s dissociative lyricism and Eduardo’s confessional style result in energetic and catchy songs with interchangeable vocal leads and omnipresent harmonic work, alongside distorted guitars and buzzing synths.

They’ve been a mainstay of the Dublin gig scene for the last few years. Following their much-anticipated showcase at Ireland Music Week in 2024, they have gone from strength to strength, selling out their first two headline shows in Dublin, and completing support tours with US Girls, Adore, The Belair LipBombs and Theatre Band. Their own headline shows saw them playing in iconic London venues such as Windmill Brixton and Moth Club. They marked 2026 as their breakout year with the release of the absolute ear-worm ‘Lovey’ in January, closely followed by being named as one of The Irish Times 50 people to Watch for 2026. They’ve toured Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds with their most recent single ‘Star-Crossed’, also winning over new fans at this year’s The Great Escape, Brighton. ACCESSIBILITY: The venue is only accessible via a flight of stairs however they can offer access via a back door at street level to the venue if mobility is an issue or you use a wheelchair. There are 3 large steps via this route so assistance to gain access and to exit the venue would be required. We can arrange this if you contact us in advance of a show. Please bear in mind that they can only allow access in between bands due to sound issues. Two disabled toilets upstairs, both gender neutral. If you require a carer at the venue, please contact us at info@lovethyneighbourmusic.co.uk for guestlist, with evidence such as a blue badge or access card. If strobe lighting is an issue or if standing for long periods of time is an issue, please contact us in advance. They can provide chairs in the venue although if the event is very busy this will impede visibility. If you wish to make use of a chair to view a gig, we advise arriving early to secure a position. They are happy to accommodate assistance dogs.
