Getdown Services are Josh and Ben, two long-term friends who make infectious tunes to get your feet tapping. Having been described as Yard Act meets LCD Soundsystem, the sound they create is unique and immediately enjoyable.
Although having known each other for nearly 15 years, this project has only been going on for just over one. Since their first live show just out of lockdown, word has spread rapidly of their anarchic and high-energy rapport with the audience leading to sell-out headline performances and a strong and loyal following in their home city of Bristol.
This unexpected popularity comes off the back of two old and close friends collaborating with the intent of creating something to be enjoyed, not just by themselves but with as many people as possible in a shared experience. https://getdownservices.bandcamp.com/
Cowz: Cowz are a Brighton-based duo with music that can only be described as “Bubble-gum pop in dire need of therapy”. The group was founded by Saga Wahlström and Natasha ‘Tasha’ Nichols in 2021 with the goal of delivering some hard-hitting truths, with enough glitter and frills to get you dancing.
+ OffWight: Off Wight are two lads from precisely the same dad Jamie & Neave Merrick. Ex Isle of Wighter’s now languishing in Brighton and Hackney they spew out tunes on deflated love, social anxiety and bland one night stands. It’s poetry you can dance to. It’s wonky spoken word on a mattress of lo-fi synth. Their songs won’t change your life and but they might make you change your trousers.
