Unflinching poetry set atop confrontational searing lead guitar riffs, thunderous, driving bass-lines and pummelling drums is the unmistakable sound of Headshrinkers. They were formed in 2019 built on a vision of capturing modern life within their music, Headshrinkers have been quick to create a name for themselves in their local music scene and beyond. Headshrinkers were named on This Feeling’s ‘Big in 2021’ list, as well as being Brum Radio’s band of the year in 2020, and have since received backing from BBC 6 Music and Radio X on their recent hits ‘Monocle’ and ‘Doorway Conversation.’
Dubbed as “noisy, moody and absolutely brilliant” by Happy People, the band’s sound has been described as “incendiary post-punk laced with stunning poetic majesty” by This Feeling. With comparisons to Joy Division and a commendation for their “clear intellectual depth” coming from Our Sound Music, After Paris also commended Headshrinkers for their “pounding, high energy instrumentals” that “combine perfectly with vocals akin to the most exciting bands in the UK’s thriving punk scene.”
They’re building a loyal fan base everywhere they go, from mutliple sold out home-town shows to performances at TRUCK Festival, Isle of Wight Festival, Sniester Festival (NL) , VESTROCK (NL) and supports with The Twang, STONE, The Rills, LIFE and Hallan. This band are one to watch. https://linktr.ee/headshrinkers

+ Liquorice: Liquorice is a 5-Piece alternative band hailing from the South-East. Having played together previously in various guises, honing their craft in the country’s leading grassroots venues, the band’s latest incarnation sees a transition to an innovative and visceral new sound. With their combination of crunching instrumentals and poetic lyricism.
