Performing a set of new songs from their forthcoming, unreleased album (along with favourites from their last album ‘Your Own Adventure’), Hollow Hand play a hometown show following their EU / UK tour with MJ Lenderman (including 2x sold out nights at The Garage in London).

The attitude of the album is definitely DIY” says Max Kinghorn-Mills of Hollow Hand’s 3rd album. “About just doing everything yourself and not needing to rely on anyone. That’s the one thing I love about doing this: no one has any answers for you, you are your own boss and it’s YOUR OWN ADVENTURE. It’s down to you.”

This independent spirit that propels the creative process is also one that gave birth to its title: Your Own Adventure. “The title is kind of a mantra to summarise my philosophy when writing and recording the album,” he says. “I grew up immersing myself in all kinds of Fantasy genres and I loved the choose your own adventure game-books of Joe Dever. Other kinds of books I was reading throughout the writing process pointed me towards a kind of *belief in the self’ – there’s no definitive, correct way to live this life.” https://hollowhand.bandcamp.com/

The venue is only accessible via a flight of stairs however they can offer access via a back door at street level to the venue if mobility is an issue or you use a wheelchair. There are 3 large steps via this route so assistance to gain access and to exit the venue would be required. We can arrange this if you contact us in advance of a show. Please bear in mind that they can only allow access in between bands due to sound issues. Two disabled toilets upstairs, both gender neutral. If you require a carer at the venue, please contact us at info@lovethyneighbourmusic.co.uk for guestlist, with evidence such as a blue badge or access card. If strobe lighting is an issue or if standing for long periods of time is an issue, please contact us in advance. They can provide chairs in the venue although if the event is very busy this will impede visibility. If you wish to make use of a chair to view a gig, we advise arriving early to secure a position. They are happy to accommodate assistance dogs.
