Immersion + BUNKR | Brighton

Immersion Brighton
Immersion play Brighton at Alphabet on Saturday 19th September 2026! Get tickets above or from Seetickets.
Immersion are Malka Spigel and Colin Newman best known for their work with Minimal Compact and Wire.
The project emerged in the early 1990s and has always prided itself on a diversity in approach and an ability to be both self-contained and a vehicle for collaboration. 1999’s Low Impact , 2018’s Sleepless & 2025’s WTF?? cover very different aesthetics.
Recent years have also seen Immersion collaborating with the likes of Tarwater, Laetitia Sadier, Ulrich Schnauss , Scanner, Thor Harris, Cubzoa & SUSS in their ongoing Nanocluster series of events & albums. The collaboration with SUSS took the form of a month long US tour in March / April 2025 as well as the album.
With their 2nd UK tour in as many years (in support of the album WTF??) Malka & Colin ended up playing more shows in 2025 than any previous year and to audiences of increasing size.
The couple also have a weekly music radio show called Swimming In Sound and play in the band Githead, alongside Robin Rimbaud (Scanner) & Max Franken.
+ BUNKR: maximal melodic electronics from the outer orbit. Drawing inspiration from a love of electronica, ambient, melodic techno and the mysteries of the cosmos Brighton (UK) based musician/producer James Dean set about channeling these influences into his work under his BUNKR alias and, since BUNKR’s inception in 2017, he has been treading an exploratory path deftly cultivating a unique voice in electronic music. The first BUNKR release was issued by Berlin’s Love On The Rocks label, picking up fans across the globe including Tim Sweeney who featured Cloud Chaser in his best of 2017 round up on his Beats In Space radio show.
