Me Lost Me delights in experimenting with songwriting and storytelling, creating a beguiling mix of soaring vocals and atmospheric electronics that playfully push the boundaries of genre. The Project of Newcastle-based artist Jayne Dent who takes influence from folk, art pop, noise, ambient and improvised music, her work has been described in The Guardian as “stripping folk back to its bones while letting its future echoes bleed out”. With her prolific writing and extensive touring schedule, her unique sound has won much support across the musical spectrum. Dent has notably performed live for BBC Radio 3’s After Dark Festival and as part of the 2022 BBC Proms alongside Spell Songs, Royal Northern Sinfonia and the Voices of the Rivers Edge Choir. She received the prestigious Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Composers and was 2020-2021 Artist in Residence at Sage Gateshead. With Me Lost Me’s third full-length album ‘RPG’, released in July 2023 on Upset the Rhythm, she has expanded her sound palette even further, diving deep into the question of what it means to make contemporary folk music. RPG presents the idea of songwriting as a role-playing game and invites the listener in to explore this strange new world of fantasy pastoral lands, sleepless unreality, and the joy of losing yourself in stories. https://melostme.bandcamp.com/

+ Nina Kohout: Nina Kohout is a sonic storyteller who pushes the boundaries of musical obedience, forming a constant conversation between an invasive horror and a fragile purity. In her music she intertwines the haunting ambiance of ancient Slovak folklore, classical music elements, and dark electronica.

In 2021, Slovakia-born, UK-based artist Nina Kohout won the Radio_Head award for the Newcomer of the Year (curated by the Slovak national radio), which she received for her debut single ‘Blue Sunray’. Her critically acclaimed debut EP Pandemonium (incl. the song ‘Moonlight’ featured as the Song of the Day by KEXP Radio) got Nina’s name mentioned in BBC Radio 6 Music and music magazines such as Under the Radar, Louder than War, and Electronic Sound magazine. Her past shows include playing at the iconic Kino Šiška in Ljubljana, Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts in Brighton, Santeria in Milan, Waves Vienna Festival, Liveurope Festival in Prague, as well as the biggest European showcase festival Eurosonic in the Netherlands.

In 2023, Nina Kohout unveiled two singles, including ‘Little Butterfly,’ which made its debut on BBC Radio 6 Music, offering a glimpse of what to expect from her debut album scheduled for release in 2024.

+ Swan Deep: Swan Deep writes jazz/trip-hop infused music with a post punk basis – This feel is combined with electronic elements in his production and the more punky side comes soaring through at live shows with the full band.
