PleasureInc Brighton

PleasureInc. live in Brighton at The Prince Albert on 22nd February! Get tickets above, or from SeeTickets.

PleasureInc is the genre-fluid musical brainchild of brothers Jesse and Louis Baker. The Norwich based duo emerged in late 2021, creating music and visual content reflecting their love for hip hop, britpop, psych and cinema. Through aliases Kenny Pleasures and Jonny Silver, the brothers project a playful perspective in their music, pulling sounds and attitudes from the likes of Damon Albarn, Beastie Boys, Tyler, The Creator and Tame Impala. Whether presenting this eclectic mix through considered, cinematic music videos, or as a raucous four-piece live band; there is an undefinable quality to PleasureInc that demands intrigue.

Harnessing the mystery of their brand, the brothers built a fast online and live following straight out of the gates. Selling out venues in Norwich, Brighton and London before even releasing music, they earned a packed House of Vans performance with Joey Valence & Brae in November 2022. The duo continued to build on this in 2023 with UK tours and the release of the ‘For The Fun Of

It’ singles collection, a group of songs demonstrating their ability to fuse a myriad of genres into clean cuts of alt-pop. Garnering 100,000+ Spotify streams, ears are tuning in around the globe.

Looking to 2024, the band have turned to producer Iggy B to embrace the dynamic of their live show for their debut EP ‘Plastic People’ out 17th April 2024. On a mission to bake the gritty chaos from venues across the UK into the new record, the duo invited their backing band into London’s Strongroom Studios to cut four songs fusing their established alt-pop sound with a flavour of post- punk… call it Talking-Heads-make-love-to-Beastie-Boys-core. https://pleasureinc.bandcamp.com/

+ Fever Rouge:  Fever Rouge emit a truly infectious energy, their shows are nothing short of a perfect chaos. Fever Rouge’s Indie spirit, Alt rock edge and post punk firestorm have proven them to be one of the most exciting acts coming out of the Brighton scene. Releasing their newest single from their next ‘You’ve Been Warned’ on Jan 31st 2025, this is one that can’t be missed!

+ Christian Le Surf: Born in Angmering and based in Brighton, Christian Le Surf is a singer-songwriter and artist creating experimental pop worlds that dive into inclinations of post-rock, folk and indie pop. Taking a chameleonic approach to his work, Christian’s music explores odysseys into songs surrounding themes of politics and heartbreak, or vast polyrhythmic minimalism projects, all the while maintaining a distinct nostalgia-infused sound palette that has enjoyed cult success and BBC Introducing airplay. Christian has enjoyed his growth in the Brighton live music circuit, coming off the back of projects like his 2021 debut album ‘Bontempi Cher Lloyd 1999’, or his two back-to-back EPs dropped in October 2023, ‘The King’s Meadow’ and ‘The Scroll’, the latter of which saw a sell-out show at The Folklore Rooms complete with stage interviews and a disorienting live performance. Christian operates his live shows between a full live band and an invigorating solo loop pedal-based arrangement that melds surreal improvisational performances with skeletons of his songs. His latest release, ‘I Wish You Hell’, acts as the first single from his upcoming sophomore studio album ‘Chicago, the Moon!’ set for release this April.
