Samuel Organ is one of the UK’s most exciting multi-disciplinary creatives. He has worked alongside artists such as Caroline Polachek, Shygirl, Sega Bodega, Danny L Harle, BABii, Iglooghost, Kai Whiston ++ and is a key member of experimental jazz group The Physics House Band, who have built a worldwide cult following with their chaotic improvisations and live shows. Following his debut solo album in 2021, Samuel Organ looks to cement himself further as an independent artist with this latest offering – ‘Guided By Horses’.

An ode to the South Downs, and the history of downland music. The EP consists of seven tracks inspired by the chalk paths, eery undulating hills and glimpses of the devil. ‘Guided By Horses’ serves as a documentation of Samuel’s deepening connection to the natural world and the supernatural through music and art. He’s created a sonic landscape that spotlights feelings of solitude, hopefulness, clarity, joy and simplicity, in a way that feels true to the beautiful landscape and rich history of those natural environments. https://samuelorgan.bandcamp.com

+ Ochre: Ochre is the solo project and natural musical progression & maturing of singer/songwriter, Charlotte Lloyd-Butler. Germinating from previous expressions of emotional pangs & impassioned pains, Ochre is a “vessel for the exploration of the construction of self”, whilst acting as a grace-giving approach to curiously exploring the processing and teachings of life’s multifarious encounters. After embracing the plentiful hedonistic gifts that Brighton offers, Ochre digests the noise of living and presents a swirling introspective take that culminates in a sonic blend of atmospheric harmonies and a textural weave of guitars. Glorious golden hour warmth emits from nods to formative acoustic sounds, refined from time creating music in Falmouth whilst studying. Ochre contemplates the complexity of the human reaction with an intimacy and fragility that warmly supports as listeners are compelled to gaze inwards.

+ Route 500: Route 500 is the musical world of Derek Inver – observational lyrics, compelling vocals and dissociative recollections make up their dynamic, lo-fi sound. The Brighton based project pursues rawness over perfection and captures the darker inner workings and depths of the human psyche. The band have drawn comparisons to the likes of Radiohead, The Microphones, Big Thief and Red House Painters, earning an ever-expanding following of loyal listeners. The project is set to continue their streak of potent singles with their forthcoming track ‘Wrong Colour’ out September 1.
