SUMMARY:My Precious Bunny + EERA | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:My Precious Bunny Brighton \nMy Precious Bunny live in Brighton at Revenge on 4th July! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nMy Precious Bunny is the solo project of Lily Wolter- songwriter\, multi-instrumentalist and one-half of the beloved Brighton duo\, Penelope Isles. In celebration of her debut album\, ‘A Moment In My Eyes’\, to be released this May on Bella Union\, Wolter steps out on her own (with 6 close friends by her side)\, crafting music that feels like deep nostalgia. Bursts of saxophone\, clarinet\, warm analog synths and restless guitars collide with raw\, communal choral power. With some of Brighton’s best players in the mix\, MPB is gaining momentum fast. https://mypreciousbunny.bandcamp.com/album/a-moment-in-my-eyes \n \n+ EERA: EERA\, is the Berlin-based Norwegian artist Anna Lena Kristen Bruland. Her new record “I’ll stop when I’m done” was produced by Chris Taylor (Grizzly Bear). The album is inspired by the famous Marilyn Monroe quote: “I don’t stop when I’m tired\, I only stop when I’m done” and interweaves intimate reflections on what it means to be a modern woman with researched insights into the lives of the starlets from Hollywood’s Golden Age. What emerges is a studied celebration of the female experience\, in all its complexity\, strength and vulnerability. \nEERA has previously released two albums\, 2021’s Speak (Just Dust Recordings) and 2017’s Reflections of Youth (Ninja Tune/Big Dada Records) both to much acclaim\, championed by mainstream and tastemaker press alike including MOJO\, Uncut\, Loud & Quiet\, Dork\, The Line of Best Fit with huge support at BBC 6 Music with Reflection Of Youth awarded ‘Album of the Day’ and a session recorded with Marc Riley. www.eera.co.uk \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:The Sleeves | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:The Sleeves Brighton \nThe Sleeves live in Brighton at The Rosehill on 12th July! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nThe Sleeves are the duo of Jack Cooper and Tara Cunningham\, both likely known to you as one half of Modern Nature. Following an all-instrumental Mossy Tapes release last November\, Cooper and Cunningham have recorded 10 new songs showcasing their vocal and guitar interplay with only the faintest echoes of prior efforts (individually or collectively)\, representing a fully realized leap forward from their largely improvised debut. \n‘The Sleeves’ is a somewhat counter intuitive take on the guitar/vocal duo formula (provided you think there is such a thing) though it’s not nearly as simplistic as “the space between the notes”– it would be the height of exaggeration to say an album this simultaneously expansive and incandescent is unprecedented. But it doesn’t happen nearly often enough\,either. \n“What I initially found so familiar and exciting about playing guitar with Jack – and continually do – is that our approach to music is pretty much exactly the same. And that is – to celebrate the space that frames ideas\, embraces silence\, to play simply\, simultaneously championing our respective unembellished guitar sounds\, whilst looking for sounds that aren’t like a guitar at all – bells\, birds\, switching between radio stations etc. It’s rare to find someone who -whatever this means to you -‘gets it’- and I think when we started playing guitar together\, we both knew the other had something of whatever our ‘it’ was.” \n“‘The Sleeves’ is the sum of our shared musical journey thus far\, an exciting mix of familiarity and uncharted territory in its approach to structure and how we use our guitars and voices. It feels to me like we are both citing shared references and traditions\, whilst floating in our own\, single-cell world that is completely genre-less. That grey area is where we seem to thrive. As Jack says\, it feels like music that really couldn’t be made by anyone else.”- Tara Cunningham \n“Tara and I started playing guitar together at the start of 2024. It was an improvised music night in a railway arch in South London. The set was great but there was a couple of minutes in particular where Tara and I really sort of locked in. We made a record a few weeks later. There was something in the way we played together that felt very intuitive from the start. We recognised a shared approach right away and an affinity to the way each other played.” \n“During the summer we got stuck in a traffic jam coming home from a show in Glasgow. We spent a few hours singing along to the Mamas & The Papas and Simon & Garfunkel and over the course of the day\, like magic we became The Sleeves.” \n“We’re excited about it because it feels like music that really couldn’t be made by anyone else. We don’t bring different elements to it. We both bring exactly the same things. It’s the result of our similarities.” – Jack Cooper https://thesleeves12xu.bandcamp.com/album/the-sleeves \n+ Support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n17042026 – SUEP. SUMMARY:Way Dynamic | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Way Dynamic Brighton \nWay Dynamic plays Brighton at Chalk on Friday 21st August 2026! Get tickets above or from Seetickets. \nWay Dynamic\, the solo project of Melbourne’s Dylan Young\, will soon release internationally Massive Shoe – a third album that’s playful and understated\, luminous and textured. Massive Shoe is minimalist folk-pop\, art rock and baroque pop\, produced and largely played by Young\, who moonlights in Melbourne’s beloved Cool Sounds and Good Morning and has played drums with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra. It’s tempting to only compare these timeless songs to those of yesteryear\, but there’s a sensibility\, a turn of phrase\, that feels deeply contemporary: it’s telling that Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield described “Miffed It” as her “favourite song in a VERY long time”\, and Katie and MJ Lenderman have both taken Way Dynamic on tour. At the same time\, Sir Elton John said that he “just cannot stop listening” to “Ibiza”. Young’s songs don’t shy away from sentiment\, or equally from silliness: on any given song he might evoke a cruisy trip through hell or earnestly lament a miscommunication. Whether the journey is to space or along the Seine\, we’re very much along for the ride. https://linktr.ee/waydynamic \n \n  \nPlus support: Liam Parsons is the early days of a project by sometimes Melbourne\, sometimes London musician Liam Parsons. Liam also plays in the band Good Morning and it’s kind of like that but the songs are slightly noisier and longer. \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:Weird Nightmare | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Weird Nightmare Brighton \nWeird Nightmare live in Brighton at ALPHABET on Saturday 29th August! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nOn Friday\, May 1st\, Weird Nightmare will release Hoopla\, the engaging and melodic second LP from former METZ frontman Alex Edkins. \nEvery band worth its salt has a member who worked in a record store. In METZ\, the fearless noise rock trio who released five full-length albums on Sub Pop between 2012 and 2024\, it was singer and guitarist Alex Edkins. Slinging indie rock and hardcore records in his hometown record store while attending university\, Edkins became an ardent student of rock ‘n’ roll; from the psychedelic 1960s to the DIY 1990s and beyond. The new Weird Nightmare album\, Hoopla\, mixes and matches these wide-ranging influences in fun\, exhilarating combinations\, showcasing his sophisticated musical mind. Bursting to life with hooks and earworms. \nCo-produced by Edkins and Spoon’s Jim Eno at Seth Manchester’s Machines With Magnets in Providence\, RI. Edkins expands Weird Nightmare’s dimensions to new heights\, gilding the direct emotions of his straightforward songwriting with musical textures such as piano\, bells\, and castanets\, giving these well-wrought tunes a shiny luster. \nFollowing the previously released single “Forever Elsewhere\,” which Stereogum called “… an undeniably infectious power-pop anthem”\, Weird Nightmare has shared an official video for their new song\, “Might See You There\,” which was directed by CC Mulligan. \nEdkins shares about the track: “‘Might See You There’ is about going back to visit my hometown and being flooded with teenage nostalgia. Small-town boredom and isolation almost feel like a gift in today’s highly connected world. I feel fortunate for that time spent idly\, down in the basement\, learning the entire Rancid ‘Let’s Go’ album on guitar with my friends. I find it easy to romanticise that time in my life\, even though I was\, without question\, a disgruntled kid who badly wanted to escape my surroundings and see the world. \n“I was listening to a lot of the Irish bands The Undertones and Protex while writing this one\, and I think there is a fair bit of their influence. Just the simplicity and big bar chords mostly.\nSeth Manchester and I were very into the idea of adding piano and bells to the outro\, akin to the Phil Spector-produced ‘End of the Century’ album by The Ramones. The great Julianna Riolino sings with me on the choruses\, too!” https://weirdnightmare.bandcamp.com/music \n \n+ support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07042026 – Bibi Club. DESCRIPTION:Ohtis Brighton \nOhtis live in Brighton at The Prince Albert on 10th September! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nOhtis has been the long-running project of Sam Swinson and Adam Pressley\, friends since high school in Normal\, Illinois. Their debut album Curve of the Earth (Full Time Hobby\, 2019) introduced their mix of dark humour\, moral tension and back-porch mysticism\, earning critical praise and a cult following. \nAfter a run of singles including Shatze (Saddle Creek\, 2021) and Without Blemish (Joy of Life International\, 2025)\, Ohtis return with a renewed sense of focus and a deep well of unreleased songs. After 7 years away\, Swinson will be returning to the UK this autumn in support of  his new material\, released this year through Joy of Life International. https://ohtis.bandcamp.com/album/taxi-driver  \n \n+ Last Living Cannibal: Last Living Cannibal is the solo project of songwriter and producer Allister Kellaway\, originally founded during the pandemic\, Allister made his first album “7 Years” in 2021 using broken electronics laid over blown out electric guitars. After moving to Hastings once lockdown ceased Allister released “On A Perfect Earth EP” – swapping out electronics and fuzz for classical guitar and strings. Since moving to Brighton Allister has endeavoured to transform Last Living Cannibal’s sound yet again with a new album set to release in 2027. \n+ Jackson: Jackson. is a Brighton-based artist\, producer\, and multi-instrumentalist blending modern elements of alternative indie and experimental R&B to create sounds that feel new yet familiar. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Chanel Beads\, ML Buch\, and Caroline\, his music reflects his love for both atmospheric production and melancholic song writing. Writing from his bedroom setup has allowed Jack to experiment freely\, shaping a sound that feels both intimate and cinematic. \nA lifelong creative\, Jack has self-released singles that showcase his evolving sound culminating in a sold-out debut gig that marked the start of an exciting new chapter. With his sights set on carving a space within Brighton’s thriving music scene\, he continues to build momentum as both an artist and a producer. \nHis growing catalogue of releases showcases a clear evolution in his sound\, where textured guitar parts meet delicate electronics and understated vocals. With new music on the horizon and growing recognition within Brighton’s independent scene\, Jackson. continues to define a sound that’s entirely his own. \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07042026 – Bibi Club. SUMMARY:The Tubs | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:The Tubs Brighton \nThe Tubs live in Brighton at CHALK on 1st October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nMerge Records is delighted to announce the signing of Welsh janglepop raconteurs The Tubs! The quartet —Owen Williams\, Dan Lucas\, Max Warren\, and Taylor Stewart —are hitting the ground running\, too\, sharing word of new UK and EU tour dates as well as a cover of Metallica’s “Fade to Black” that transforms the seminal power ballad into the pastoral\, jangle-laden epic it was always meant to be. \nOwen Williams on “Fade to Black”:Signing to Merge is a dream come true for The Tubs…we’ve been huge fans since we were teens. They’ve put out some of our fave records of all time and we could tell you them all here but we don’t have the space. Call Taylor on +** **** ****** if you’d like the full list. I’ve always been a big fan of a Metallica ballad. Obviously I like the riffs too but I think there’s a weirdly beautiful and singular quality to their ballads\, even though the lyrics are basically always trash. We thought it’d be fun to jangle up Fade To Black and give it a sort of folk rock reinvented outro to announce the signing. \nhttps://thetubs.bandcamp.com \n \n+ support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:Joe & The Shitboys | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Joe & The Shitboys Brighton \nJoe & The Shitboys live in Brighton at Daltons on Friday 2nd October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nThe queer vegan shitpunks\, Joe & The Shitboys\, formed with the intention of calling out shitty behaviour in the conservative Faroe Islands\, where the rock scene is filled with boneless homophobes and meat-eating misogynists – and continue to take their aim at general vibe killers everywhere. \nThe live shows are full of energy\, with a barrage of songs often under a minute long\, like “Save The Planet You Dumb Shit”\, “Life Is Great You Suck” and “If You Believe in Eating Meat Start With Your Dog”\, being broken up by the flamboyant frontman roasting the audience relentlessly. \nThe band (Joe\, Ziggy Shit\, Johnny Shit and Ollie Shit) have played every type of venue there is; roof tops\, public toilets\, opening ceremonies for North Atlantic sub sea tunnels\, museums and skateparks\, and have also appeared on their fair share of major festival line ups around Europe and North America. \nTo date the band have released three albums\, ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes’\, ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes Again’\, and ‘The Reson For Hardcore Vibes III’ – all receiving critical acclaim despite their modest and unconventional (aka punk) 10 minute total run time. \nAmong their numerous and vocal champions\, Iggy Pop has recently hailed Joe & The Shitboys as the most exciting band in the world right now – and he’s not just talking. After using the band’s new single ‘MR. NOBODY’ as his walk-out music for a number of shows\, he’s now invited them to join his 2025 UK tour\, including a massive show at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace. As a long-standing advocate for the band\, Iggy has played their output extensively on his BBC Radio 6 Music show\, but his support goes even further. In his NME cover feature\, he revealed that he played their music to Blink-182’s Travis Barker before he laid down the drums for album track ‘Neo Punk’ and even shared his admiration for the band with none other than Rick Rubin on the Broken Record podcast. \nFor those seeking further justification for hardcore vibes\, Joe & The Shitboys promise more new music\, more raucous live shows and more polite advice on how to live your life in 2025. https://joeandtheshitboys.bandcamp.com/ \n \n+ support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:Skating Polly + Lord Friday the 13th | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Skating Polly Brighton \nSkating Polly live in Brighton at The Hope & Ruin on 6th October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nOver the past decade\, few artists have embodied the unbridled freedom of punk like Skating Polly. Formed when stepsisters Kelli Mayo and Peyton Bighorse were just nine and 13\, the Oklahoma-bred band have channeled their chameleonic musicality into a sound they call “ugly-pop\,” unruly and subversive and wildly melodic. With Kelli’s brother Kurtis Mayo joining on drums in 2017\, they’ve also built a close-knit community of fans while earning the admiration of their musical forebears\, a feat that’s found them collaborating with icons like X’s Exene Cervenka and Beat Happening’s Calvin Johnson\, touring with Babes In Toyland\, and starring as the subject of a feature-length documentary. On their double album Chaos County Line\, Skating Polly reach a whole new level of self-possession\, ultimately sharing their most expansive and emotionally powerful work to date. \nThe follow-up to 2018’s The Make It All Show\, Chaos County Line finds Skating Polly working again with Brad Wood\, the acclaimed producer behind indie-rock classics like Liz Phair’s Exile in Guyville. As their songs journey from art-punk to noise-rock to piano-driven power-pop\, the band matches that musical complexity with a sharply honed narrative voice that manifests in countless forms (ultravivid poetry\, diary-like confession\, fearlessly detailed storytelling\, etc.). Not only the outcome of their constant growth as songwriters\, Chaos County Line’s scope and depth has much to do with Skating Polly’s newly heightened clarity of vision. “All these songs are the most special to me of anything I’ve ever written\, and I think Kelli feels the same\,” says Peyton. “In the past I didn’t always write with a clear purpose\, but this time I knew exactly what I wanted to say. We both ended up writing about the most difficult emotional experiences we’ve ever been through\, and instead of being terrified of saying exactly what I was feeling it just all came out so naturally.” \nWhether they’re opening up about matters internal (identity\, disassociation\, unhealthy coping mechanisms) or external (obsession\, deception\, gaslighting)\, Skating Polly imbue that outpouring with an unfettered emotional truth. On songs like Chaos County Line’s frenetic lead single “Hickey King\,” Kelli and Peyton trade off vocals as they share their distinct perspectives on closely related experiences—in this case\, the minefield of power dynamics in sex and relationships. “In Peyton’s verse she’s talking about never knowing how far to go or how much of yourself to give to someone\, and when my part comes crashing in it’s about guys being possessive and always trying to leave their mark on you\,” Kelli says. “To me it’s the most Skating Polly song on the record\, because it’s all these different energies happening at once.” Meanwhile\, on “I’m Sorry For Always Apologizing\,” Skating Polly deliver a bouncy piece of bubblegum-punk in which Kelli calls herself out on certain messy behavior in her past. And on “Double Decker\,” Peyton examines her own possibly self-sabotaging patterns\, magnifying the song’s mood of confusion with a dizzying guitar solo and breakneck vocal performance. Elsewhere on Chaos County Line\, Skating Polly offer up moments of unabashed fun—“Rabbit Food\,” for instance\, serves up a pure rush of punk delirium spotlighting Kelli’s gift for infusing so much psychodrama into her vocal work. \nOver the course of its 18 kaleidoscopic tracks\, Chaos County Line embraces the kind of combustible emotionality that comes from fully uncompromised self-expression. “I think on this record Kelli and Peyton were really confident in being more honest and more experimental at the same time\, whereas in the past they might’ve made the lyrics more poetic in order to cloak that honesty a bit\,” says Kurtis. And as their songs shift from devastating to exhilarating to gloriously cathartic\, Skating Polly hope to provide the same sense of solace they found in creating the album. “I’ve had people tell me we’ve helped them get through a breakup or an abusive relationship or the death of someone they loved\, and all these other heavy obstacles everyone goes through\,” says Kelli. “I feel like I’m not necessarily the best person to draw a map on how to live the happiest life\, but I like the idea that our songs can make other people’s lives better in some way. I want our music to be like armor.” https://www.skatingpolly.com/ \n \n+ Lord Friday the 13th is a dollar-store trash-glam-punk band born in Austin\, Texas and now based in Los Angeles\, fronted by brother-sister duo Felix and Sloane Lenz. Formed in early 2019\, the band grew out of a lifelong creative partnership shaped by an unconventional upbringing in Athens\, Texas—largely homeschooled\, unschooled\, and left to invent their own fun. That isolation became an advantage\, giving them space to develop a strong sense of self\, unburdened by outside norms\, and a commitment to making something strange and entirely their own. \nEarly involvement in community theatre helped Felix and Sloane find confidence on stage and a sense of belonging\, paving the way for their move to Austin full-time in 2015. There\, they immersed themselves in film\, design\, and music—making videos for local artists while building parallel creative careers in fashion\, editing\, graphic design\, and animation. When Lord Friday the 13th finally took priority\, everything clicked. Combining their skills\, they turned the band into a fully realized universe—loud\, scrappy\, theatrical\, and unmistakably theirs. https://www.lordfridaythe13th.com \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. It will be a real challenge\, which we’ve already started preparing for\, with nine months to go! We will be playing two sets with no support” \nNME praised Sextet for its “taut\, abrasive swagger” and its unique blend of Afro-Brazilian rhythms\, dance-funk\, and avant-jazz\, with tracks like Knife Slits Wate” and Lucinda recognized as masterful\, rhythmic post-punk. \n \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:Blood Wizard | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Blood Wizard Brighton \nBlood Wizard live in Brighton at The Hope & Ruin on 10th October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nEmerging in 2021 with an album of home-recordings titled Western Spaghetti\, the south London based project\, fronted by songwriter Cai Burns quietly gained underground popularity. What began as a solo project with folkier leanings gradually evolved into a collaborative unit which became heavier\, slower\, and harder to pin down; blending ragged indie rock\, dreamy synths\, and glitched-out textures. Since then\, Blood Wizard have built a devoted following across the UK and afar and have become a fixture of London’s DIY scene. \nFollowing 2024’s Grinning William\, 2026’s Lucky Life finds Blood Wizard at their most confident and expansive. Over country-fried lead guitars\, Burns’ dry\, understated delivery anchors songs that feel deeply personal yet\, poetic and abstract. The result sits somewhere between a house show and a late night fever dream. The EP is less interested in big statements and focuses more on the people\, places and passing thoughts that shape everyday life\, further refining a sound that feels entirely their own. \nhttps://bloodwzrd.bandcamp.com/ \n \n+ Support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer. SUMMARY:Jake Xerxes Fussell + Naima Bock | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Jake Xerxes Fussell Brighton \nJake Xerxes Fussell live in Brighton at Concorde 2 on 13th October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nReared in Georgia and now settled in North Carolina\, Jake Xerxes Fussell has established himself as a devoted listener and contemplative interpreter of a vast array of so-called folk songs\, lovingly sourced from a personal store of favorites. He has released five studio albums to-date\, beginning with his self-titled debut album\, released by Paradise of Bachelors in 2015. \nHis most recent studio album When I’m Called was produced by James Elkington and features the playing of Ben Whiteley (The Weather Station)\, Joe Westerlund (Bon Iver\, Califone)\, and others. Blake Mills contributes guitars on several tracks. Joan Shelley and Robin Holcomb provide backing vocals. In their review of the record\, Pitchfork wrote: “No other American singer is repurposing our old folk scripts with so much authority or ingenuity.” \nMore recently\, Fussell and Elkington collaborated on the music for Rebuilding – a feature film directed by Max Walker-Silverman and starring Josh O’Connor. A soundtrack of the same name was released on Fat Possum Records in November 2025. \n“Critics love to call things unclassifiable\, which can sometimes feel like a subtle admission of defeat. But Jake Xerxes Fussell’s music\, which draws heavily from nineteenth- and twentieth-century vernacular folk songs and archival field recordings\, is idiomatic\, and entirely his own…he is a folksinger in the truest sense\, collecting ideas and melodies and lyrics from distant and disparate traditions\, looking for the things that unite us in our humanity.” – The New Yorker \n“(Fussell) is one of the great magpies of American song\, collecting forgotten\, tarnished gems with a folklorist’s zeal…” – The Guardian \n“…maybe the leading interpreter of American folk music right now.” – Ann Powers\, NPR \nhttps://jakexerxesfussell.bandcamp.com/music \n \n+ Naima Bock: The roots of Naima Bock’s music are deep and far reaching. Born in Glastonbury to a Brazilian father and a Greek mother\, Naima spent her early childhood in Brazil before eventually returning to England\, bouncing around various homes in South-East London. This muddled heritage combines with more recent pursuits in Naima’s music; from the Brazilian standards (Baden Powell\, Chico Buarque\, Geraldo Vandre\, Cartola\, etc.) that the family used to listen to driving to the beach\, to the European folk traditions she tapped into on her own\, and the pursuits that interest her today – studies in archaeology\, work as a gardener\, and walking the world’s great trails – Naima’s music draws from family\, the earth and the handing down of music through generations. \nThe creation of Naima’s debut album Giant Palm began in her move back to the UK\, though the music is undoubtedly infused with the Brazilian music of her youth and regular family visits – she found inspiration in\, “the percussion\, the melodies\, chords – and particularly the poetic juxtaposition of tragedy and beauty held within the lyrics”. By the age of 15 Naima was embedded in the music scene of South-East London\, going to gigs at The Windmill in Brixton\, slotting into a group of like-minded friends writing and playing music. This led to the creation of Goat Girl\, the band she toured the world with playing bass and singing alongside her school friends. After six years\, with a desire to try something new\, Naima decided to leave Goat Girl. In the intervening years she set up a gardening company and started a degree at UCL in archaeology because\, as she jokes\, “I liked being near the ground”. During this time\, she was still writing music\, playing guitar\, and learning violin. In this time\, she was introduced to producer and arranger Joel Burton through Josh Cohen and his label\, Memorials of Distinction. Joel was becoming frustrated with his band Viewfinder\, and was keen to expand his musical limits. Over the time he and Naima worked together\, Joel’s burgeoning interest in Western Classical music\, global folk music\, experience in large scale arrangement and orchestration informed the collaborative process that eventually culminated in Giant Palm. \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07052026 – LYR. SUMMARY:John Craigie + Jobi Riccio | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:John Craigie Brighton \nJohn Craigie live in Brighton at ALPHABET on Saturday 17th October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nFor over a decade\, John Craigie has made music that brings people in\, not with spectacle but with sincerity and songs that feel like conversations. His new album I Swam Here\, out February 6\, 2026 on Zabriskie Point Records\, was written and produced by Craigie and recorded between New Orleans and Astoria. Seven tracks were cut at Deslonde St Studios with musicians handpicked by Sam Doores of The Deslondes\, including Howe Pearson\, Max Bien Khan\, Jonny Campos\, and a guest appearance from Desiree Cannon. \nLongtime collaborator Anna Moss appears across much of the record. The remaining tracks were finished at the Rope Room in Astoria\, carrying over the same spirit and palette. The cover art\, painted by Brittany Schall\, nods to the design of mid century samba and jazz records. The album’s singles trace the path of its making. “Fire Season\,” engineered by Bart Budwig\, was one of the first songs written and features Cooper Trail\, Nevada Sowle\, Luke Ydstie\, and Jamie Greenan. “Dry Land” was reworked in Astoria after early New Orleans sessions didn’t feel right. “Edna Strange\,” inspired by Marty Robbins\, is the only track where Craigie plays steel string acoustic\, with Max Bien Khan on nylon string leads and a trio vocal arrangement in place of Moss’s harmonies. Following 2024’s Pagan Church with TK & The Holy Know-Nothings\, which spent six weeks at #1 on the Americana Albums chart\, I Swam Here feels both expansive and intimate\, shaped by the musical history of the Gulf Coast and the stillness of the Pacific Northwest. Craigie remains a tireless live performer\, touring throughout the U.S.\, Europe\, and Australia\, appearing at festivals like Newport Folk\, Pickathon\, Edmonton Folk Festival\, and High Sierra\, and sharing the stage with artists such as Langhorne Slim\, Sierra Hull\, Gregory Alan Isakov\, Brett Dennen\, and Jack Johnson. His annual #KeepItWarm Tour donates $1 from every ticket sold to regional nonprofits\, and his John Craigie On The River trips on the Tuolumne and Rogue rivers have become cherished gatherings for fans. I Swam Here is a grounded\, collaborative step forward\, blending New Orleans grit with Pacific Northwest quiet\, and showing a songwriter still widening the world of his music. https://johncraigie.bandcamp.com/ \n \n+ Jobi Riccio is an artist known for her vulnerable vocal delivery\, compelling live performances\, and her powerfully intimate yet universal lyricism. Riccio is stepping into her next chapter with Face The Feeling\, her forthcoming album on Yep Roc Records due May 15. An “Emerging Act of the Year” nominee from the Americana Music Association\, Riccio first broke through with her 2023 debut Whiplash\, a coming-of-age record rooted in folk and country traditions. On Face The Feeling\, she pushes far beyond those foundations\, embracing a bolder\, electric\, indie-rock-driven sound that mirrors the album’s emotional depth. \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07052026 – LYR. SUMMARY:Kacy & Clayton | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Kacy & Clayton Brighton \nKacy & Clayton live in Brighton at The Prince Albert on 18th October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nA familial bond and their rolling ranchland home are at the heart of Kacy & Clayton’s music—a timeless amalgamation of British folk rock\, classic American country\, cross-cultural traditional songs and slightly faded psychedelia. Second cousins born and raised in rural Saskatchewan\, Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthicum were musically educated and inspired at a young age by Kacy’s paternal grandfather and grew up playing countless hours of music together at family and community gatherings large and small. \nBuoyed by Kacy’s otherworldly voice and Clayton’s virtuosic guitar playing\, and with a musical wisdom that belies their ages\, the forward-looking traditionalists have released a string of thrilling albums beginning with 2013’s The Day Is Past & Gone\, including two produced by Jeff Tweedy and a collaboration with New Zealand’s Marlon Williams. Touring extensively throughout North America and Europe\, the pair have shared stages with the likes of Wilco\, Colter Wall\, Richard Thompson\, The Sadies\, Ray Lamontagne and The Decemberists. \nConfident\, focused and ever-surprising\, Kacy & Clayton continue to forge a musical path on their own terms and time\, showing the way for a new generation of like-minded travelers. SUMMARY:Mr Bruce | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Mr Bruce Brighton \nMr Bruce live in Brighton at Patterns on 22nd October! Get tickets above. Co pro with Form. \nBoth as The Correspondents and a solo artist\, Mr Bruce has achieved cult status for his live shows taking him as far as New Zealand\, Australia and Chile where he played in front of audiences of over 10\,000 fans\, both old and new. Maniacal and balletic\, his performance lands somewhere between contemporary dance and rave. \nFollowing a summer packed full of festival dates\, Mr Bruce will venture throughout his home country for his largest ever headline tour in support of his highly anticipated debut album\, OK\, released on state51 on 15th May 2026. OK is a multi-genre masterpiece produced by Angus Kemp spanning hyperpop\, garage\, hip hop and ambient with guest vocals from legendary musician Brian Eno\, cult US rapper Homeboy Sandman and emerging UK talent HAM. Together they navigate the subjects of grief\, protest and a love of the ocean with extraordinary energy\, dexterity and depth. \nLooking ahead to the tour this Autumn\, Mr Bruce said “I have found over the years that gigs/clubs/festivals that I’ve played have gone from being about the pursuit of hedonism to something else. There’s still all the dancing and raucous energy\, but there’s also space created for a little catharsis if that’s what you need. Many of the songs that I’ve made are designed for the dancefloor\, but the lyrics are about processing grief and standing in defiance of systems built to oppress and divide us. For my new live show I want to make a space for collective engagement with the complexity of our volatile world along with the release of dancing and shaking it all out with a room full of people.” https://www.mrbruce.co.uk/ \n \n+ support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n29042026 – Acid Mothers Temple. SUMMARY:An Evening with Kristin Hersh | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Kristin Hersh Brighton \nKristin Hersh plays Brighton at The Old Market on Thursday 22nd October 2026. Get tickets from Seetickets \nKristin Hersh shares brand new single ‘Sundial’\, a dark\, quietly haunting new single offering the first glimpse of new music with a full album to follow later this year. Heading out this Spring for another extensive Throwing Muses US tour\, Kristin will then return to the UK and Europe for a solo tour in support of the new record this Autumn . \n Sparse and atmospheric\, new track ‘Sundial’ unfolds slowly around Hersh’s voice\, with cello bringing a low\, shadowed undercurrent to a track that feels both intimate and elusive. The song circles around the strange\, lasting connections formed between musicians\, and how certain sounds or moments can suddenly bring someone back into focus. Hersh traces the idea to something she’s often noticed when collaborating : “Musicians’ heartbeats align right before they start a song together. Real musicians\, anyway… This is a measurable phenomenon\, but no one has measured how long our hearts keep beating together . A long time\, I think.”Over the last three decades\, Kristin Hersh’s prolific career has seen her heralded queen of the alternative release. Returning with a new solo record ‘Clear Pond Road’  released in September 2023\, the album is a cinematic road trip; a series of personal vignettes from a fiercely independent auteur\, plush with layers of atonal\, edgy-dreamy strings and mellotron.   \nIt’s a watershed moment in a career overflowing with creative firsts and inspirational thinking\, an elegant piece of personal reportage. It’s a sensuous\, life-affirming statement\, a very personal memoir; it’s the a blossoming of a true icon of independence.  \nIn 2018 Hersh announced a new partnership with Fire Records that made possible the release of her acclaimed tenth studio album\, ‘Possible Dust Clouds’. Since then there’s been new releases from Throwing Muses (‘Sun Racket’\, 2020) and 50Foot Wave (‘Black Pearl’\, 2022) along with new book ‘Seeing Sideways’ (2022). \n“One of indie rock’s most fascinating figures” (The Guardian) Hersh has released over 20 solo records\, with Throwing Muses and 50FOOTWAVE to date. She is the author of an acclaimed memoir — based on her teenage diary — about a particularly eventful year\, titled “Rat Girl”  (‘Paradoxical Undressing’ in the UK)\, which was named #8 on Rolling Stone’s “25 Greatest Rock Memoirs of all time.” She later released her albums ‘Crooked’  (2010)\, ‘Wyatt at the Coyote Palace’  (2016) and Throwing Muses’ ‘Purgatory/Paradise’  (2013) as groundbreaking books of music\, artwork\, essays and lyrics. NPR Books said of Hersh’s latest work\, ‘Don’t Suck\, Don’t Die’  about her friendship with the late Vic Chesnutt\, “Not only one of the best books of the year\, it’s one of the most beautiful rock memoirs ever written.”   \nPreviously\, the juxtaposition of light and dark has been essential to the drama of Throwing Muses and 50 Foot Wave\, but this new record is something of a departure: more inward looking. Produced and performed by Hersh\, ‘Clear Pond Road’  is quieter yet more outspoken\, its inventive musical logic underpinned by the ambience of field recordings.  \n“Passion sounds less angry here\, more grateful\, I think\,”  Kristin says\, “sweeter\, sadder\, and somehow no less alive. Honestly? It’s a love story and its erratic heart rate reflects this. As textured and raunchy as real life songs like these can get\, the sonic vocabulary is delicate\, so I had to respect that and keep it grounded with car engines and rain in New England\, then whistling ducks and wind chimes in New Orleans. Which sounds wistful\, like a blurry photograph.”  \nCurrently in the studio working on the next offering from Throwing Muses\, Kristin Hersh is also preparing for a three month solo tour to celebrate across the UK and Ireland before heading to Australia and New Zealand. linktr.ee/kristin_hersh \n \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07042026 – Bibi Club. SUMMARY:Penelope Isles | Brighton - Matinee
DESCRIPTION:Penelope Isles Brighton \nPenelope Isles live in Brighton at The Hope & Ruin on 31st October! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. This is the matinee show. \nHailing from the Isle of Man via the uncomfortable shingles of Brighton beach\, Penelope Isles resurface – shimming in sunlight and shadow. \nThree years since their last show\, life has quietly reshaped everything. Two solo records released into the world\, new bands formed\, old rhythms broken\, and a magnetic pull back toward each other that couldn’t be ignored – Penny Isles’ sound remains unmistakable-fuzz-drenched\, melody-rich\, and charged with feeling. \nNow expanded into a true three-piece with drummer Joe Taylor\, Penelope Isles sound bigger\, looser\, and more alive than ever. Guitars shimmer and collide\, harmonies ache and lift\, drums crash like eerie weather rolling in fast off the coast. The Wolter siblings write songs like postcards from somewhere just out of reach – Brighton seafront flats\, off-kilter restaurants\, memories half-burned in the sun. SUMMARY:Stu Larsen | Brighton + Luke Thompson
DESCRIPTION:Stu Larsen Brighton \nStu Larsen live in Brighton at The Prince Albert on 1st November! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nIn a relentless and restless world\, Stu Larsen went looking for silence and stillness in some of the most remote corners of the globe. Solitude isn’t about escaping life\, it’s about slowing down enough to notice it. Writing 12 songs over 12 months while hiding away in 12 different locations around the world with nothing but a guitar\, a few cameras and some simple recording equipment\, Solitude is Larsen’s year-long journey to parts unknown. \nOver the course of this project\, Larsen re-discovered that something magical happens when you completely disconnect from the world and intentionally spend time alone\, allowing thoughts and emotions to flow\, without the constant distractions of a life lived in this modern\, connected age. Solitude focuses on authentic storytelling\, slow-living imagery and global travel appeal – A moment of stillness for those seeking respite from a noisy world. https://stularsen.bandcamp.com/album/solitude \n \n+ support: \nLuke Thompson is a singer-songwriter from New Zealand who has been writing\, recording and performing his songs for over fifteen years\, blending the nostalgia of fairy tales with a sense of modern anxiety. DESCRIPTION:zzzahara Brighton \nzzzahara live in Brighton at Green Door Store on 4th November! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nZzzahara’s latest album came to them in a dream. Despite being born and raised in Los Angeles\, Zahara had never really gotten into David Lynch. When he died at the start of 2025\, they dove into his archive of films and interviews. “He’s so weird\,” they laugh. “Always talking about how ‘everything’s a dream!’ And you know what? At that moment\, I couldn’t remember the last time I dreamed. I thought\, that’s fucked up. So I started taking magnesium and shit\, trying to see what it was like to dream again.” \nThe ensuing dreams were heavy and strange. In one of them\, Zzzahara was a teenager\, drifting through space and telling their brother\, who passed away when they were 12\, about their life. “He was asking\, like\, do you remember me? It really fucked me up.” \nTheir fourth album Distant Lands was born from the idea of communing with their brother; “talking to him about all aspects of my life across a long period of time.” The name comes from the sense that they exist\, now\, in different worlds – touching from a distance\, as Ian Curtis would have it. It also references disconnected headspace Zzzahara was in when they were taking opiates in their early-twenties. “I would often feel like I was off in a different world\, a dream world\, blacked out and trying to connect to something that’s not there.” \nUntil now\, the lyrical side of Zzzahara’s songwriting has been driven by their love life. Their 2022 debut album\, Liminal Spaces\, chronicles a reckless coming-of-age in Highland Park. Their 2023 follow-up\, Tender\, marked a period of pause and introspection\, which was quickly counterbalanced by 2025’s Spiral Your Way out – an album written in the aftermath of a breakup\, which rejected the pressure to strive towards squeaky-clean personal perfection in favour of embracing themselves. \nDistant Lands is a departure from all that. The dream about their brother prompted Zzzahara both to dig deeper and zoom out; sit with some old wounds and write songs outside their comfort zone of sex and romance. Rather than focusing on the turbulence of their recent love life\, they took influence from long-standing feelings around their family life and experiences with opioid addiction. “I feel like I’ve lived a life filled with lust\, having all these rendezvous everywhere – which is really fun\, but it can’t be fun forever. I’m a fucked up person on the inside\, from all the stuff I’ve been through\, so why not write about that? I wanted to make something that was personal and authentic… and not about chicks\,” they laugh. “It’s kind of a record about growing up\, in a non-traditional sense.” \nProduced by Casey Lagos\, Distant Lands is a tender mix of lo-fi\, dream pop and slowcore. Inspired by listening to a lot of early Beach House\, Neutral Milk Hotel\, and The Microphones\, the album takes the same approach of spinning shimmering gold from basic set-ups and old analogue equipment. “I tried to focus more on the music than the lyrics\, and making it feel like more of an escape in that way\,” Zzzahara explains. \nTheir arsenal of instruments was well stocked on that front\, including but not limited to a Korg CR4 (four-track cassette recorder) Zzzahara bought off eBay from one of Drake’s producers\, and a synth Lagos picked up for $10 at Goodwill. “Some of the best sounds can come from a cheap ass synth run through nice gear with a bit of reverb on it\,” Zzzahara says. “That’s why I love lo-fi\, and that was my thought process throughout this record. I wanted it to sound shitty but modern at the same time. That’s where Casey came in.” \nThe pair met through kismet at a mutual friend’s studio. Lagos burst in gushing about a fish and rice spot down the road he’d just eaten at\, they bonded over being Filipino\, and struck up a friendship. A creative relationship wasn’t immediately obvious; Lagos is a pop/rock producer first and foremost\, working with mainstream chart acts like Kesha and Cold War Kids. However\, his background as a musician in various post-harcore bands (Parkway Drive\, Architects\, Stick To Your Guns) made him the perfect fit for Zzzahara’s breadth of influences\, which spans everything from old school screamo to contemporary dream pop – the underground\, and the earworm. The recording process\, then\, was a matter of pushing Zzzahara’s lo-fi preferences through Lagos’ polished sensibilities to make a collection of songs that were intimate in vibe and vast in sound. \nThough a departure from previous releases in some respects\, Distant Lands retains Zzzahara’s characteristic looseness – something that was mirrored in their relationship with Lagos. Two Tauruses with a “work hard\, play hard” ethic\, they recorded in intense bursts\, hitting the studio daily and wrapping tracks within an hour before taking a break to grab food or sweet treats or just kick back. They smashed the whole record out in just a few months – a totally different experience to the sporadic session work that went into Zzzahara’s other records. Since Lagos is completely sober\, Zzzzahara also had the rare experience of making a record on the wagon. “I didn’t want to weird him out while we were working\, so I was sober the whole time. He was a good influence for me.” \n“My Little Dove” is a story about the dove that would visit the family home after their brother died. It’s an upbeat instrumental for material so delicate. Emotions fizz to the surface like bubbles\, while the lo-fi production blisters and bursts like Lifted-era Bright Eyes. “We released doves at the funeral and then one day\, I was in my house\, and this dove flew in and just lived with us for like a month. We had cats\, too\, so I was like dude\, what the fuck? The cats didn’t kill this shit yet? That’s crazy\,” Zzzahara remembers. “Then\, one day\, it flew out. I feel like this bird was some sort of message of innocence – like\, your brother’s in heaven in some sort of way. He’s saved.” \nOver the last few years\, Zzzahara has spent more time immersed in other people’s fictional worlds\, rather than stewing in their own feelings. Their ravenous consumption of movies and books began to shape their songwriting back on Spiral Your Way Out\, with headstrong authors like Charles Bukowski and Joan Didion informing the album’s re-assertion of agency in the aftermath of a relationship that made them feel compelled to try to become someone else. Distant Lands takes more inspiration from Wong Kar Wai movies – their flawed characters and terminal state of yearning – as well as works of literature that embrace the uncertain and follow the logic that many conflicting things can be true at once (Milan Kundera has made a significant appearance in their reading list). This self-administered cultural education is something they feel has given them a healthy sense of perspective that has led to more stability\, without sacrificing their natural wild streak as captured on Spiral Your Way Out. \n“With this record I thought\, what can I say about my life that’s authentic to me without having to be ‘woe is me’? So that’s how I wrote the songs this time. Let me tell it like the facts\,” they say. “My whole life\, I’ve always been so fucking sad\, and at some point you get addicted to the sadness. And then you get addicted to people treating you like shit. And then you get addicted to the feeling of hurting\, you know?. Now I’ve reached a place where I’m like\, nah\, dude. I think I’d rather not.” \nStaking a flag in the ground for living truthfully – and that not necessarily meaning perfectly – Distant Lands is laced with the stoic acceptance of life’s currents\, positive and negative. There’s no bullshit to be found here – no solipsism\, and certainly no regrets. “As long as you’re young and you still have energy then you should do things you love\, because you never know\,” they say. “You gotta just put your whip to the sky and fucking crack it.” https://zzzahara.bandcamp.com/ \n \n+ support \nACCESSIBILITY: Fully accessible\, on one floor. SUMMARY:Kiwi Jr. | Brighton
DESCRIPTION:Kiwi Jr. Brighton \nKiwi Jr. live in Brighton at The Hope & Ruin on 8th November! Get tickets above or from Seetickets. Co-pro with Form. \nSmash cut to Kiwi Jr.’s third album\, Chopper\, overseen by trusted pilot Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade\, Handsome Furs) on storied Sub Pop Records. Turning nocturnal with necks mock turtle\, our Local Kiwi Jr. takes neon flight off the digital cliff – like The Monkees starring in Blade Runner; like Michael Mann directs Encino Man. Ten songs with synth shimmer\, zen gongs with yard strimmer. The signs along the highway read “LESS BAR\, MORE NOIR AHEAD.” Ah\, those late summer\, Joe Strummer\, Home on the Range Rover Blues. \nThere’s a melancholy to all forms of flight\, and the view out the Chopper is as hazy as it gets: mission-oriented\, both stealth and self-realized. This album is decidedly (yet almost secretly) anti-patio-sunscreen-Beach Boys bachelor cruise sing-a-long. Sure\, these songs let a little light through the blinds\, but they sting insomnia\, corrupt mayors\, Kennedy Curses\, sex tapes\, and deer rifles. Chopper is the bird’s eye view of the big event – a real nighttime character of oil stain\, film grain\, search light\, night flight. It is muscular and fragile; loud yet quiet: both an observer and somehow the observed spectacle itself. \nWhat was slack in the slacker phase\, got tauter\, with lacquer glaze. Slick gloss\, rightened wrongs; murdered boss\, promoted pawns. With Boeckner transmitting high-voltage shocks upon every reach for a familiar instrument\, Kiwi Jr. expands the palette with string machine song\, synthesizered oblong\, and Dentyne Classic Menthol vocals from area soprano Dorothea Paas (US Girls\, Badge Epoch Ensemble) like the missing piece all along. \nKiwi Jr. brings the Chopper to a new space\, demilitarizing the technology just like flasks\, aviators\, and cargo shorts. Graceful in the air above\, but when the Chopper lands\, there’s chaos on the ground.  Kiwi Jr. shout\, “Look Out!” When it gets close\, it’ll blow the hat right off of your head. \nhttps://kiwijr.bandcamp.com/track/hard-drive-ontario \n \n+ support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n07052026 – LYR. SUMMARY:The Boo Radleys | Lewes
DESCRIPTION:The Boo Radleys Lewes \nThe Boo Radleys live at Lewes Con Club on 13th November! Get tickets above\, or from SeeTickets. \nThe Boo Radleys’ journey began in 1988 when childhood friends Sice\, Tim and guitarist Martin Carr formed the band in Wallasey\, England. From the raw\, noise-heavy debut Ichabod and I (1990) and the melodic shoegaze masterpiece Everything’s Alright Forever (1992)\, established them as vital contributors to the UK indie scene. But it was 1993’s Giant Steps\, named NME’s Album of the Year\, that announced them as genuine visionaries\, fusing shoegaze with psychedelia\, dub reggae\, jazz\, and Beach Boys-influenced harmonies. \nThe band achieved their commercial peak with 1995’s chart-topping Wake Up!\, a UK number one album\, featuring the hit single “Wake Up Boo!” which reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. Yet even at the height of Britpop fever\, they remained restless. \nThat ethos drove them to release 1996’s C’mon Kids\, which “scared away 100\,000 fans” and which became Tom White of The Electric Soft Parade’s “all-time favourite album.” Their 1998 swan song Kingsize\, sophisticated\, electronic-tinged\, and commercially underperforming\, closed their initial chapter before they quietly disbanded in 1999. \nAfter 23 years apart\, The Boo Radleys reunited in 2021 as a trio\, with Martin Carr choosing not to participate. What could have been a nostalgic retreat instead became a creative rebirth\, with Sice\, Tim\, and Rob adopting democratic songwriting processes and leveraging home recording technology. “What allowed that was technology – Tim is in Northern Ireland\, I live near Oxford\, Rob is in the Peak district” Sice explained. “If it had meant doing it the old way\, going to a rehearsal room and then being ensconced in a studio for six weeks\, there’s no way it was going to happen.” https://thebooradleys.bandcamp.com/track/living-is-easy \n \n+ Support \nUpcoming Love Thy Neighbour shows:\n02062026 – Real Farmer.
